Million Dollar Habits

Brian Tracy, guru of peak performance and achievement, has some powerful things to say about the relationship of HABITS being 95% responsible for your current state of life, and finances.

In his book Million Dollar Habits, Tracy says:"You are where you are today because 95% of what you think, feel and do is determined by your habits."

And the good news is ... new positive habits can be learned.

Replacing worn-out, ineffective practices with optimal behaviours, you'll notice dramatic, immediate benefits to your business and bottom line, says Tracy. And he has proven that in his own spectacularly successful career.

Today I want to share with you his seven-step Formula for Goal Setting which I am personally putting in place and already seeing the results in just two weeks! I have highlighted no. 5 because this is a key new focus for me - namely finding the single worst "snag" or "constraint" in the chain of achievement. It's like the place where you are bleeding or haemorrhaging energy and focus.
1.Decide exactly what you want in a specific area and write it down clearly and in detail. Make it measureable and specific.
2.Set a deadline for the goal. If is it a large goal, chunk it down into smaller goals.
3.Make a list of everything you will need to achieve this goal. As you think of new items... add them to the list.
4.Organize your list of action steps into a plan. A plan is organized on the basis of two elements, priority and sequence.
5.Identify the obstacles or limitations that might hold you back from achieving your goal, both in the situation and in yourself. Ask yourself, "Why have I not achieved this goal already?" Need a specific skill? A certain amount of money?
Help from one or more people?
6.
Take immediate ACTION - step out in faith, get the process moving.
7. Do something everyday that moves you towards your most important goal.

Says Tracy in words that should be shouted from a million rooftops...

They have told me that this single habit has been more responsible for their success than any other idea they ever learned. Try it for yourself and see."

Thanks to that advice from Brian Tracy I just posted this inspired and passion-filled post; now weigh myself everyday; went to an aerobic dance class today; am going to write a thank-you card and drop off a little gift (fresh picked roses and cherries) for someone who did me a favour;
and am allowing myself to fall in love unconditionally.

Above all I am committing to Tracy's advice this year to "save 50% of everything earned over and above what I am currently living on."

EFT & Reality Radio!

Talk about REALITY TV? Yesterday was REALITY RADIO! Thanks Nancy Richards for coming up with the brilliant idea for her show Otherwise to explain to listeners how EFT works in practice.

We called it on air "psychological acupuncture," as I explained how it cleans up the body memory of past pain just like anti-virus computer software cleans up your computer. All it takes is tapping on various acupuncture or meridian points on the body, while talking and thinking of the issue, memory or glitch you want to release.

After an intense private EFT session prior to the show with radio producer Hazel Makuzeni, the show had us both on live describing the raw exhilirating and ultimately freeing response Hazel had to breaking free from a pattern of feeling disempowered and unable to trust or share easily.
Tears came to her eyes as she realised she had "set free" her 12-year-old self who had been somehow FROZEN in the past incident. "I now feel strong and powerful to assert myself in future. And I also realised I can trust when I choose to..."

Nancy was a bit sceptical. "Do you mean Hazel must keep tapping to keep up the feeling of power and confidence? Surely the problem is not over and gone in such a short time?"

Yes! and Yes! Unbelievable as it first sounds to sceptics, I assured Nancy that is the magic of EFT. It is 80% successful with permanent results. What more can I say? Only Hazel's feedback in the weeks and months to come will prove the point.

But at the same time is is a wonderful self-help tool to use for herself and others on an ongoing basis. The karate-chop point on the side of the hand is a perfect shorthand to tap while you think and intend to relax, speak up... or whatever is needed in the moment.

I joked that Hazel may use EFT in future to stop people feeling nervous or freezing before going on air.

Remember we did not have to divulge the exact memory that she released. Just the results of being able to breakfree in 60 minutes by tapping and talking about something traumatic that had happened to her when she was 12 years old. How awesome is that?

My phone has been ringing after the show and one thing is for sure - people are keen to get free and live amazing lives thanks to Emotional Freedom Techniques. And it is my privilege to share it with them.

Radio show re EFT workshops

I'm excited to be on a national South African radio show Otherwise at 1pm today with Nancy Richards. We have set it up that I first do a live EFT session with her producer Hazel (in private) and then we go on air and discuss how it felt for a newbie who knew nothing about it before!
Of course I have had to do some tapping on myself to prepare myself! Above all I intend to speak slowly, say three key things.

I want to share my enthusiasm about the way EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) are changing the lives of my clients in one2 one sessions and in my Breakfree,Yes workshops.
I will announce that I have a Free Talk on Friday January 19th at 7pm before my upcoming workshop in Johannesburg January 20/21 and also that I will be going to Durban January 26 (Free Talk 7pm) = Jan 27 and 28th.
I had scheduled a weekend workshop in Capetown Jan 13/14 but another radio station mentioned having me on air Saturday so I may postpone it - just run a one-day EFT Day on Sunday 14th.
